Anton and Friedrich's graves. Friedrich Maczkowiack (the second child, page 91, MFH.) is buried next to Anton. Obviously, the headstone was erected after Friedrich's death in 1930. Several other Maczkowiacks are also buried nearby. Anna (Anton's wife) is not buried here, but separately, just a few metres to the northwest of Anton's grave.   Anna's grave. It seems that this headstone has been erected, perhaps only a few decades ago.

A group of Maczkowiack graves, including Anton's grave. A pile of wood from the felled trees can be seen and also the rear of the church.   The entrance to the cemetery.

A view across the countryside at Birdwood (Blumberg), looking to the north-west, from the cemetery.   The Birdwood Holy Cross Church. The cemetery can be seen on the far right. (See also, the very old photo on page 54, MFH).
